Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan yields remarkable results in Bijapur’s Naimed Nayapara village
Raipur: The visionary Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan is turning into a reality, marking a significant step towards eradicating malnutrition. In the remote village of Nayapara Naimed, located in the Bijapur district, the Integrated Women and Child Development Project has achieved a remarkable feat by establishing a Poshan Badi (nutrition center) in every household, resulting in the successful eradication of malnutrition among all the children in the area.
In a heartwarming example of community-driven change, green vegetable gardens have been planted in the Anganwadi center of the village. Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel himself has been actively encouraging residents to establish Poshan Badis in their homes as a key strategy in the fight against malnutrition. These efforts are now yielding tangible and positive results.
Anganwadi worker Jyoti Patel, along with her sector supervisor, plays a pivotal role in this transformative initiative. They visit each beneficiary’s home, advocating for the establishment of Poshan Badis and the inclusion of green vegetables in daily diets. Today, in the remote village of Naimed Nayapara, every beneficiary’s household proudly hosts a Poshan Badi, ensuring regular consumption of green vegetables. Additionally, the community is benefiting from the Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, which provides access to eggs, millet, chikki, and porridge.
Thanks to these concerted efforts, there is not a single malnourished child left in the area, marking a remarkable achievement in the battle against malnutrition. Anganwadi assistant Ramdulari has played a special role in the success of this initiative.
A balanced diet is a key component of maintaining physical and mental freshness throughout the day while meeting nutritional requirements. The diet encourages the consumption of green vegetables, fruits, milk, and yogurt, all of which provide essential proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, and more. The Chhattisgarh government, through the Department of Women and Child Development, is actively supporting the establishment of Poshan Badis in every household, ensuring that children and women have access to nutritious food and a healthier future.
