“It’s not Vande Bharat, It’s Vande BJP”, says TS Singh Deo
Bilaspur: State Health and GST Minister TS Singh Deo recently visited under-construction multispeciality hospital at Koni. He inspected the entire 11-storey building along with MLA Shailesh Pandey and doctor and engineer.
While talking to media persons, Deo highlighted the dual attitude of the Central Government towards Chhattisgarh. He called Central Government’s Vande Bharat Yojana as Vande BJP Yojana. He said that actually the BJP and the central government have forgotten the protocol and etiquette. It would have been better if the people from Bilaspur zone had shown the green flag to the train. Or else a programme would have been organized in the zone.
The center doesn’t even care about where the circle or zone is. He questioned “Why Raipur and Bilaspur were deprived in the programme?”. Being a zone, the programme should have been organized at the final destination of the train. Being a zone, the programme should have been organized in Bilaspur.
When asked whether Chhattisgarh is not in India, the minister replied if so, why was it ignored? He said that giving gifts to Chhattisgarh is an insult to Chhattisgarhis. The truth is that public money is given to the public only. It is the right of the public to get facilities. We are servants. If he had given something to the leaders, perhaps it would have been appropriate to call it a gift. The minister said that the people have gifted Modi by making him the prime minister. The BJP or the Prime Minister is not in a position to give gifts to the public.
He added that a due of Rs 1300 crore of Chhattisgarh is pending on central government. While serving as the Leader of the Opposition, we had estimated the loss of the state due to GST. Today the same situation has come. We have done as much work in the last four years. The BJP government has not done that much even in 15 years.
