CM Baghel to release Rs 1800 crore to beneficiaries of flagship schemes before Diwali

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, along with the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana, will be paid to the farmers on October 17 before Diwali. In this way, an amount of more than Rs 1800 crore will be paid to farmers, landless agricultural laborers and cow dung vendors of the state. 

He added that Diwali is an important festival for all of us and now with the release of aforementioned installments before Diwali, we will all get to celebrate this festival of light with great pomp and fervor.

Baghel gave the aforementioned information while transferring an amount of Rs. 8 crore 13 lakh online to the bank accounts of Godhan Nyay Yojana beneficiaries. This included a dividend amount of Rs 5.34 crore distributed to cow dung vendors-villagers, Rs 1.69 crore to Gauthan Samitis and Rs 1.11 crore transferred to the women self-help groups. Including the amount paid to the dung vendors today, Rs 170.34 crore has been paid against the procurement of cow dung so far.

Chief Minister appeals farmers to donate paddy stubble

At the programme, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel appealed to the farmers to donate hay. He further said that the paddy harvesting season is about to start. Farmers should not burn hay and donate it instead for cattle fodder in Gauthans. Availability of fodder for cattle in gauthans will prevent them from entering farms and damaging the crops. 

Prepare an action plan to open Gauthan in the dependent villages of Gram Panchayats

Baghel said that so far 10, 624 Gauthans have been approved in the state, out of which 8408 Gauthans have already been built and made operational. Now after establishing gauthans in the gram panchayats of the state, there is a demand for opening Gauthans in dependent villages as well. Officials have been directed to chalk out an action plan to open Gauthans in these villages. 

Action plan to start Rural Industrial Park on the land of Krishi Upaj Mandi

Welcoming the suggestion of the Agriculture Minister to start a rural industrial park on the vacant land of Krishi Upaj Mandi, the Chief Minister said that the mandis already have shades and platforms built but are not being used, which makes them suitable for development of rural industrial park there.
