Shanmukh Priya, Sharad Sharma, Baba Hansraj, Lakhbir Singh Lakkha, Kumar Vishwas and Maithili Thakur will perform during the three-day event

Countdown begins to the three-day Rashtriya RamayanMela (national Ramayan festival) to be organised at Raigarh from June 1 to 3. Preparations for the first of its kind event being organised by the Chhattisgarh government at historic Ramleela Maidan have been completed.
A competition will be held involving Ramayana troupes of different states. On the first day, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh will be the part of competition on the subject Aranya Kand. On the second day, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Goa and Chhattisgarh will participate in the competition.
Teams from Cambodia and Indonesia will also perform. A mass Hanuman Chalisa chanting will be held in the festival. Hanuman Chalisa will be recited by local artists and priests.
Legendary artists will participate
National level veteran artists will participate in the programme. On the first day of the ceremony, Indian Idol fame Shanmukh Priya and Sa Re Ga Ma fame Sharad Sharma will perform. On the second day of the program, Baba Hansraj Raghuvanshi and LakhbirSingh Lakkha will perform Bhajan Sandhya. Maithili Thakur will perform Bhajan Sandhya on the last day followed by much sought after presentation of Kumar Vishwas.
