Chhattisgarh Assembly Session Begins on Monday : Congress Meeting today to strategize on issues like Bhatapara Violence, Mob Lynching, and Power Cuts

Raipur
A meeting of the Congress Legislative Party has been convened on Sunday afternoon in preparation for the Chhattisgarh Assembly’s monsoon session, which starts tomorrow (July 22). During the meeting, strategies will be devised to raise issues and challenge the government. Key issues to be prioritized will also be identified.
According to party sources, the opposition is planning to corner the government on several issues, including Bhatapara violence, Arang mob lynching, and power cuts. The legislative party meeting will be held at a private hotel in Raipur at 7 PM, and all MLAs have been instructed to arrive on time. Leader of the Opposition Charandas Mahant and Bhupesh Baghel will be present.

Despite the short duration of the monsoon session, the Congress party is preparing to strongly challenge the government. Apart from law and order, the party’s MLAs will also focus on renaming schemes initiated during the Congress government’s tenure.
Issues such as Bhatapara violence, Arang mob lynching, power cuts, electricity bills, closure of Gothans, and support prices are expected to cause an uproar in the assembly. The Congress Legislative Party meeting will also decide which members will address specific issues to challenge the government.

While the Congress is strategizing to corner the government during the assembly session, the BJP legislative party has also prepared to respond to the opposition’s attacks both inside and outside the house.

During a meeting at the CM House on Friday evening (July 19), BJP legislators were instructed to respond to the opposition’s attacks with facts. They were also advised to be present and well-prepared in the session to effectively present their arguments on any issue.

BJP legislators were advised to speak positively and avoid unnecessary comments during the proceedings. They were also instructed to be ready to speak on issues like law and order, malaria, and diarrhea, as the opposition might create an uproar on these topics despite having no substantial issues.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai mentioned that a fruitful discussion on the session’s strategy took place during the BJP legislative party meeting. State President Kiran Dev, State General Secretary Pawan Sai, along with all cabinet members and party legislators, were present.

Legislators were instructed to prepare a list of all welfare activities undertaken by the state government in the past six to seven months to present them fluently in the assembly. They were advised to be ready to discuss the work done for farmers, women, the poor, youth, and laborers.
