Nine Uniformed Naxals Killed in Ongoing Police Encounter; Large Cache of Weapons Seized

In a significant anti-Naxal operation, nine uniformed and armed Naxals have been killed in an ongoing encounter with a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The operation, which began at 10:30 AM on September 3, 2024, is taking place in the border area between Dantewada and Bijapur districts, following intelligence reports of Maoist presence from the West Bastar Division.

The joint police party, acting on this intelligence, embarked on a search operation that led to the encounter. As of now, the bodies of nine Naxals have been recovered, along with a substantial cache of weapons, including SLR, .303 Rifles, and 315 Bore Rifles. Various Naxal materials have also been seized from the scene.

All personnel involved in the operation are reported to be safe. The search operation is still ongoing, and further details will be released after its conclusion.
