Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Shanti Mandavi during her treatment in a private hospital in Raipur on Saturday.
Mandavi was injured during a Kabaddi competition in Makdi’s Majhiborand. Extending his condolences to the bereaved family members, the Chief Minister approved financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh. He has given instructions to officers for providing the aid amount to the family members at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Shanti Mandavi, the resident of Majhiborand village under the Makdi development block, survived by her husband Umesh Mandavi, was injured during a Kabaddi competition on Friday. She was rushed to the Makdi Community Center but after the treatment, when she didn’t show signs of improvement, she was referred to a private hospital in Raipur. Thereafter, she passed away during treatment. The officers of the district administration visited the native village of the deceased woman and offered consolation to the bereaved family members.
