Triple murder: Man kills wife, 2 sons in Raipur over infidelity suspicion, injures self
RAIPUR: A 34-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife and two minor sons to death before injuring himself at their rented house in Dumartarai area late Saturday night following a dispute over suspicion of infidelity.
The accused, Bhuneshwar Sahu, a resident of Balod district, had been living in Sahu Para in Dumartarai for the past two years. He and his wife Khileshwari Sahu worked at a local vegetable market, though Bhuneshwar quit his job two months ago. Neighbours reported frequent quarrels between the couple over suspicions of infidelity.
Mana police said a fresh altercation broke out between the couple around 1.30am on Sunday. Bhuneshwar attacked Khileshwari with a sharp knife before stabbing his sons, Ashish Sahu, 10, and Gyan Sahu, 8. He then inflicted knife injuries on himself.
Alerted by neighbours, a police team reached the spot and found the two children dead. Khileshwari was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The injured accused was admitted to Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital for treatment, where doctors are monitoring his condition. Police have sealed the crime scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
