Raipur: AIIMS Raipur will host its 3rd Convocation Ceremony on September 2, with Vice-President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan attending as the Chief Guest. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel will be the Guest of Honour.
AIIMS Raipur Executive Director Lt Gen (Retd.) Ashok Jindal, accompanied by Usha Jindal, met the Vice-President in New Delhi and formally invited him to the convocation.
During the meeting, Lt Gen Ashok Jindal briefed the Vice-President on the institute’s progress in patient care, medical education, research, digital health, and public health initiatives. He also highlighted key achievements, including the introduction of robotic surgery, kidney transplantation, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven healthcare research.
Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan appreciated AIIMS Raipur’s contribution to strengthening healthcare delivery in Chhattisgarh and Central India, particularly through flagship initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat. Accepting the invitation, he conveyed his best wishes to the graduating students, faculty members, and staff.
The 3rd Convocation Ceremony will confer degrees on students from undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), super-speciality, doctoral (PhD), and allied health sciences programmes.
