RAIPUR: The Pandri Police arrested an inter-state drug peddler and seized 7.330 kg of illicit ganja from his possession near the Kampa Railway Crossing.
Acting on a tip-off that a man was looking for customers to sell contraband ganja, the police team cordoned off the area and apprehended the suspect.
The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Manish Gupta, a resident of Bekatikra under the Maharajganj police station limits in Mangalpur district, Uttar Pradesh. He was currently residing in Samarvani, under the Silvassa police station limits in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
During the search, police recovered 7.330 kg of ganja, a mobile phone, and ₹120 in cash from a bag in his possession.
The Pandri Police registered a case against the accused under Section 20(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is underway.
