Chhattisgarh records 724.1 mm average rainfall so far

Raipur: An average rainfall of 724.1 mm has been recorded in Chhattisgarh since June 1, 2022. The highest rainfall of 1767.1 mm was recorded in the Bijapur district while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall of 275.8 mm. This is according to the district-wise rainfall statistics from June 01 to August 10.

According to the information received from the state-level control room for flood disaster management, Surajpur has received 374.1 mm of rainfall since June 1. Similarly, Balrampur received 317.7 mm rainfall, Jashpur 362.7 mm, Koriya 389.2 mm, Raipur 555.7 mm, Balodabazar 709.7 mm, Gariyaband 820.7 mm, Mahasamund 709.6 mm, Dhamtari 845.9 mm, Bilaspur 718.8 mm, Mungeli 727.0 mm, Raigarh 627.2 mm, Janjgir-Champa 797.1mm, Korba 502.9 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 616.0 mm, Durg 710.0 mm, Kabirdham 667.9 mm, Rajnandgaon 775.4 mm, Balod 882.6 mm, Bemetara 481.2 mm, Bastar 1083.3 mm, Kondagaon 848.3 mm, Kanker 952.5 mm, Narayanpur 856.3 mm, Dantewada 1118.5 mm and Sukma recorded an average rainfall of 780.5 mm.
