Chhattisgarh

The new state president of the BJP is MP Arun Sao.

Dispatch News.

The state BJP had been speculating for days that a fresh face may get the position of state president; in this perspective, the names of MP Santosh Pandey and MP Arun Sao were prominent, but Arun Sao has the seal. He got this duty since the party was focusing on caste equations and was looking for a face representing a new generation and a clean image.

Arun Sao’s appointment had support from the RSS and the Vidyarthi Parishad. Before becoming the MP for Bilaspur, Arun Sao held significant positions on the student council and served as an officer of the RSS.

There were indications of change in Chhattisgarh, but it all began with the election of the state BJP president, which caused a commotion throughout the party. The Leader of the Opposition and other positions may change though the party and organisation prefer to proceed gradually because switching the Leader of the Opposition may prove to be a challenging assignment for the party. Currently, a member of a disadvantaged class named Dharamlal Kaushik holds this position.
