CM Baghel to honor the kin of martyred soldiers in Raipur on August 13

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will honor the families of bravehearts of Chhattisgarh who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in a programme to be organized in Raipur on August 13, to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence. Similarly, ministers, MLAs, and public representatives will honor the families in similar programmes to be organized in other districts across the state. 

After the formation of Chhattisgarh state, as many as 32 soldiers of the armed forces have sacrificed their lives for the safety of our motherland. Besides, a total of 1,344 jawans including 802 jawans of Chhattisgarh Police Force and 542 jawans of Central forces have laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The families of soldiers (natives of Chhattisgarh) who attained martyrdom during their posting in the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and the jawans of Central Forces, and Chhattisgarh State Force who were martyred in Chhattisgarh state will be among those to be honored on the occasion.
