UP man arrested for animal cruelty in Raipur

Raipur police arrested a 70-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing and committing acts of cruelty against an animal in the Amanaka area. Officers initiated action following a formal complaint regarding the incident.

The accused is identified as Hamiuddin. He is a native of Maharajganj (Uttar Pradesh) and currently resides at Tiwari Colony, Dumar Talab, within the Amanaka police station limits.

Amanaka police registered a case (crime number 139/2026) immediately upon receiving the complaint. Investigators identified the accused using video footage and evidence gathered from the location.

Police booked the accused under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for outraging religious feelings and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. A court remanded him to judicial custody.
