Khamtarai police arrested one adult and two juveniles for robbing a truck driver at Rawanbhatha. The incident occurred late on the night of April 21-22.
The victim, Sheikh Jahangir (56), a resident of Jagdalpur, was sleeping in his truck (CG 07 BC 7912) when the attackers arrived on a motorcycle. They abused the victim and attacked him with a knife, inflicting injuries on his left leg, knee, and finger. The accused stole ₹10,000 before fleeing the scene.
Police registered a case under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following an investigation, officials identified the motorcycle (CG 04 QU 0427) and apprehended Amardas (19), a resident of Satnam Chowk, Rawanbhatha, along with two juveniles.
Police seized the knife and the motorcycle used in the crime. All accused were presented before the court on April 24 and sent to judicial custody. DCP (North Zone) Mayank Gurjar stated that officers are conducting regular checks on anti-social elements to maintain peace in the area.
