Raipur – The Chhattisgarh Economic Offences Wing (EOI) / Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested two individuals, Chaitanya Baghel and Dipendra Chavda, in connection with the liquor scam case. They were presented before the Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act) in Raipur on Wednesday.
The court has granted the police six days of remand until 6 October 2025 for further interrogation.
The arrests were made under FIR No. 04/2024, registered under Sections 7 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended by the 2018 Act), and Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
