Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel hails the courage of Rahul Sahu
10-year-old brave boy Rahul Sahu, who remained trapped for 104 hours in a borewell at Phardih village of Janjgir Champa district and was rescued late Tuesday evening, woke up to a pleasant morning at Apollo Hospital in Bilaspur. Rahul had breakfast. Except normal fever, Rahulwas responding well
Still Rahul has been kept under observation by the doctors. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that due to the prayer of the people of entire Chhattisgarh, brave Rahul had overcome the adverse conditions in the borewell. The Chief Minister said that he is currently kept in the ICU under the supervision of a team of specialist doctors.
The team of NDRF and SDRF managed the safe rescue of Rahul Sahu after 104 hours of arduous operation. It was the country’s biggest rescue operation which ended up with success. RahulSahu was trapped in a borewell 60 feet below for 106.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted, “Our child is very courageous. Rahulwas accompanied by a snake and a frog in the pit for 104 hours. Today the whole of Chhattisgarh is celebrating the occasion of Rahul’s rescue as a festival. We all wish for good health of Rahul. Congratulations and thanks again to the team involved in this operation.”
Under the continuous monitoring of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, NDRF, SDRF, Chhattisgarh Police, Indian Army and Janjgir District Administration jointly executed the daunting task. The rescue work is an example for the whole country.
To be mentioned, Rahul was admitted to the hospital, doctors said that his condition was normal, yet his brain and other physical tests were going on. Doctors have suggested that his mental condition was also fine after being trapped in the borewell for more than 100 hours but his checkup will continue for next few days. Apart from this, there can also be a problem of dehydration due to not eating or drinking anything, so he will be kept in the hospital for three-four more days.
