Raipur police are searching for history-sheeter Rohit Tomar, who is absconding after allegedly assaulting a property dealer. The incident occurred following a long-standing personal enmity. Police have raided Tomar’s residence in an attempt to trace him. Reports suggest that cash, gold, and a luxury car have been seized from his house, although official confirmation from the police is still awaited.
Tomar is accused of assaulting property dealer Dashmeet Chawla with the help of his bouncer due to an old rivalry. In his complaint, Dashmeet stated that on the night of May 31, he had gone to a club on VIP Road with a friend for dinner. At the club entrance, Rohit Tomar began verbally abusing him over past enmity, then physically assaulted him and issued death threats. Tomar has been on the run since the incident.
It is worth noting that a year ago, following a shooting incident at Raipur’s Hyper Club, the police had publicly paraded the accused after shaving half of their heads. Rohit Tomar, along with Vikas Agrawal, Sarang Mandhan, and Amit Taneja, were arrested in that case. During the parade, the accused were also seen wearing torn clothes.
