Security measures for Amit Jogi, the state president of Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J), are being heightened in Raipur. He is slated to receive Central Security Force protection. Security officials have recently assessed Jogi’s residence in preparation for this. Interestingly, Amit Jogi has declined Z Plus security.
In a media statement, he said, “I have not sought additional security, and I am not informed about it. The Chief Minister need not be concerned about my safety; in fact, my security has been reduced by the Congress government.”
Regarding the Congress candidate list for the upcoming elections, Jogi mentioned that candidates for the first phase have been selected and will be announced shortly. Responding to allegations of favouring the BJP, Amit Jogi firmly stated that this is not the case, asserting, “I would choose an inefficient Congress government over a capable BJP government.” When asked about his election plans, he revealed his intention to contest from Patan to Bhopalpatnam, with the final decision contingent on their party’s upcoming list.
