Mixed Reactions as PM Modi Visits Chhattisgarh: Deputy CM Praises, State Congress President Criticizes
Dispatch News.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a Chhattisgarh tour recently. Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdeo, senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and senior officials of the state welcomed him. Deputy CM TS Singhdeo was present on the stage. During this, he praised the PM a lot. Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdeo, while addressing the stage, said, “I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to receive the Prime Minister in Chhattisgarh. Sir, welcome to Chhattisgarh. Today you have come to give, have been giving, and are giving many things. I believe that we will continue to meet in the future as well. The process of issuing cards for Rail Corridor, Critical Care Block, and Sickle Cell citizens for their better treatment is going on, and today you have given momentum to it with your presence. As per the provisions of our Constitution, the state has always worked under the guidance of the centre while fulfilling its responsibilities. I would also like to say that, in my experience, I did not feel any discrimination. The state acted and demanded something as a right, as a partner. The hands of the Central Government were never tight.”
On the other hand, State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij said that the Prime Minister had come to Chhattisgarh to expand the business of his friend Adani. The foundation stone of the rail corridor laid by the Prime Minister was not for the people of Chhattisgarh but for the benefit of Adani. Adani Group became the country’s largest coal trader under Modi’s rule. The Prime Minister was concerned about these rail corridors to ensure easy transportation of coal to Adani’s coal transport and power plants. The Prime Minister is not concerned about the railway facilities of the people of Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister remained silent on the closed railway passenger facilities and railway delays in Chhattisgarh.
State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij said that the Prime Minister remained silent on the injustice being done to Chhattisgarh by his government. The people of Chhattisgarh want to know why the rice supply was reduced from 86 lakh metric tonnes to 61 lakh metric tonnes. Why was the quota of gunny bags in the state also reduced? The Prime Minister also did not say anything about the necessity of biometrics in purchasing paddy from the farmers of Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister’s silence on the Centre’s orders to ban the farmers of Chhattisgarh from purchasing their paddy is enough to show that the BJP bears ill will towards the farmers of Chhattisgarh.
State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij said that the NITI Aayog praised the Godhan Nyay Yojana, and 12 states outside Chhattisgarh are implementing that scheme in their states. Cow rearers, livestock women’s self-help groups, and cow dung pickers have benefited from the Godhan Nyay Yojana. They have only made false allegations to cover up the failure of their central government. The Godhan Nyay Yojana has brought about a change in the lives of cow dung pickers. Rs 2 People are earning a financial profit by selling cow dung in kilos. More than 2 lakh women are promoting organic farming by making vermicompost through women’s self-help groups. More than 10,000 Gothans have been constructed, and more than 3 acres of land have been reserved. In such a situation, Narendra Modi has done low-level politics by making false allegations about cow dung purchases because of party commitment.
