Manendragarh: Under the guidance of Collector and District Election Officer Narendra Kumar Dugga, a series of activities are being organized as per the SVEEP calendar to raise voter awareness across the district. As part of the voter awareness campaign, a voter awareness rally was organized in the Chirmiri Municipal Corporation. The event saw active participation from the Swachhata Didis and citizens. In line with the SVEEP programme’s objectives, a range of engaging activities was conducted to promote voter awareness. These included rangoli, mehendi, and painting competitions, all held within the booth premises. These competitions not only encouraged active participation among new voters but also effectively communicated the importance of voting. Comprehensive information about the voting process was shared, accompanied by guidance on the procedure for including names in the voter list. A special focus was given to individuals aged 18 and above who were not yet registered as voters. The Booth Level Officers (BLOs) played a crucial role in motivating these individuals to have their names enlisted in the voter list. Furthermore, there was a concerted effort to ensure the inclusion of names of new voters and newlywed women in the voter list. The event witnessed the presence of SVEEP Nodal Officer and Municipal Commissioner, Lavina Pandey, along with public representatives, officers, employees of the Municipal Corporation, and other dignitaries.
