Raipur: So far, 10.57 lakh beneficiaries have been approved for housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). Of these, 8.41 lakh houses have been completed and the construction of the remaining houses is in progress. The amount of the installment is being given based on the progress of the construction of these houses. Based on the progress of housing construction, more than Rs 540 crore has been transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries in this financial year.
In this financial year, the target of 79,000 houses has been given by the Government of India in the month of November 2022. The first installment of the amount is being transferred to the beneficiaries after approval. For this scheme, the Chhattisgarh government has received Rs 1020.67 crore in the current financial year.
