Raipur: After the completion of paddy procurement work on January 31 for the Kharif marketing year 2022-23, Bilaspur district has created a record in the state by lifting the maximum amount of paddy in the entire district with zero percent shortage. A total of 51,3000.16 metric tonnes of paddy was procured in 138 procurement centers in the district this year, which was lifted by 131 millers within 15 days of completion of paddy procurement directly from the committees.
Collector Saurabh Kumar and all departments, Markfed, Cooperative, Cooperative Bank, Food, Revenue, Land Records contributed significantly in this paddy procurement campaign. This is the first time in the history of Bilaspur district that this work was completed before the deadline.
