CM paid tributes to Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary

Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to the portrait of Chhattisgarh’s prominent journalist and former MP Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary today, at his residence office here. Agriculture minister Ravindra Choubey and Dongargaon MLA Daleshwar Sahu were also present on the occasion.
Recalling the invaluable contribution of Chandulal Chandrakar, chief minister Baghel said that he was elected Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha several times. He made a significant contribution towards the development of the country and the state holding ministerial post in many important departments. As the President of the ‘Chhattisgarh Rajya Nirmaan Sarvdaliya Manch’, he gave a new direction to the ‘Chhattisgarh Rajya Andolan’ (movement for statehood).
He added that Chandulal has glorified the name of Chhattisgarh in the country promoting fearless media and value-based journalism. He was also the national-level editor who raised his voice fearlessly on many burning issues. The state government has introduced ‘Chandulal Fellowship’ in the field of journalism in his memory to promote value-based journalism. He said that Chandulal ji’s spirit of service towards the motherland, and his invaluable thoughts will always inspire the young generation.
