Swift action is being taken by admn, police to monitor law and order in Bastar: IG

Amid law and order situation created in Bastar over conversion, a crucial meeting of the collectors and police departments was held to review the situation on Monday.
It was said in the meeting that swift action is being taken by the administration, police and all concerned departments to monitor and control the law and order situation under Bastar division.
Sunderraj P, Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range and Chandan Kumar, Commissioner in-charge, all District Magistrates of Bastar Division, Superintendents of Police, Chief Executive Officers of District Panchayats, Forest Officer, Additional Collector, Additional Superintendents of Police were present in the meeting.
De to the prevailing law and order situation in all the districts under Bastar division and for its redressal, district level, block level and village level “Samvadand Samadhan Shivir’ (dialogue and redressal camps)were organised. Action is being taken taking the people’s representatives, community leaders into faith,it was said in the meeting.
According to the intention of the people of the area under Bastar division, strict legal action will be taken against the persons, groups and organizations whospread anarchy and confusion, so that peace and law and order could be maintained.
Sunderraj Psaid that legal action will be taken against those who are involved in any kind of illegal and violent activities.
Chief Conservator of Forests, Jagdalpur, Mohd Shahid, Chief Conservator of Forests, Kanker Shri Raju, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kanker BalajiRao, Deputy Inspector General of Police, DantewadaKamlochan Kashyap were present.
