BJP Chhattisgarh slams Congress govt for celebrating ‘Gaurav Diwas’

Raipur

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has comedown heavily on Congress government celebrating ‘Gaurav Diwas’ to mark the completion of four successful years in Chhattisgarh on December 17.

Addressing media, former chief minister Dr Raman Singh, former leader of opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, former ministers Punnulal Mohle and Kedar Kashyap said that the Congress has taken the state into the era of 2000-2003, referring the murder of Congress district general secretary in Bilaspur two days ago.

Today the situation is that everything is for sale, similar to IPL, police and officials of the government department along with the collector are being auctioned , said Dr Singh.

On what ground, the Congress government is celebrating the Gaurav Diwas, they said. Chhattisgarh used to be an island of peace, it was the name of the whole country, 15 years were glorious. All sections of the society are dissatisfied with the Congress government, they said. Bidding is being held for the post of Patwari to police officers.

In the report presented by the National Crime Record Bureau, Chhattisgarh has set very good records in robbery, 5th place in ransom, 4th place in the country in murder, 3rd place and in case of suicide, Chhattisgarh is in second place.

People feel scared to leave home today. 19667 suicides have happened in 4 years including 431 farmer, 1248 policemen, 104 human trafficking cases in 2017 was reported. Congress government’s claim of implementing 35 out of 36 promised made in manifesto is ridiculous, said Dr Singh. Chhattisgarh has become ‘crimegarh’ in the last four year, he said.

Countering the statement, Congress communication head SushilAnand Shukla said that Dr Raman Singh is fraustrated after BJP’s defeated in elections held in the last four years in the state. The BJP has gone to the ‘hole’ in the last four years, he said.
