Chhattisgarh Increases DA for Government Employees

Raipur, October 30: The Chhattisgarh government has issued an order to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its government employees.

The state administration has approved a 2% hike under the Seventh Pay Scale and a 5% increase under the Sixth Pay Scale. The revised DA rates will come into effect from November 1, 2026.

Following the revision, government employees covered under the Seventh Pay Scale will receive 60% DA, up from the existing 58%. Meanwhile, employees under the Sixth Pay Scale will receive 262% DA, compared to the previous rate of 257%.

The increased dearness allowance will be paid with the November 2026 salary.

The DA will be calculated on the basis of basic pay, excluding special pay or personal pay.

For rounding off the DA amount, fractions of 50 paise or more will be rounded up to the next higher rupee, while amounts below 50 paise will be ignored.

The order will also be applicable to employees covered under UGC and AICTE pay scales, as well as employees working in work-charged and contingency-paid establishments.
