Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has again lashed out at the enforcement agencies of central government and warned them of action by the police against them if they do not refrain from their act. The chief minister said that the ED and Income Tax are said to be beating the officials and making them kneel-down. “If this things happen in future, I will be forced to ask the state police to take legal actions against the central agency staff,” warned the chief minister.

Expressing displeasure over these complaints against the central agencies, the chief minister said that the state government is fully cooperating with in the investigation. “But if we receive such complaints in the future, then the state police will be compelled to take legal action against them,” he said.

Baghel wrote on his social media account, Central agencies are the strength of the citizens of the country. If the citizens start fearing these forces, then definitely this negative force weakens the country. Agencies like ED and Income Tax should take legal action against those involved in corruption, we welcome it. But the way illegal acts are coming to the fore during questioning of people by ED and Income Tax officials, they are not acceptable at all.

Forcibly picking up people from home by giving summons and make them ‘murga’ and force them to give statements as per the choices of the ED and I-T cannot be tolerated. “We are receiving complaints regarding this which is condemnable. If the ED and IT do not change their approach, the state government will take action,” Baghel asserted.

Baghel wrote, he has directed the officials to inform the Government of India about all these incidents.

He said that videography should be done of whoever is interrogated.

BJP MLA Saurabh Singh hit back at CM and asked as to why he has problems if ED or IT take action. On one hand the CM writes to ED for action and when ED responds and CM’s near ones are grilled, he gets infuriated, the BJP MLA said.
