Progress of E-Court, E-Challan and more effective use of Information Technology in the courts of Chhattisgarh discussed

Raipur: A meeting was
held on Sunday at VIP Guest House Pahuna, in esteemed presence of chief minister
Bhupesh Baghel and Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Arup Kumar Goswami. In
the meeting, detailed discussion on expansion of facilities in the courts of
the state including the High Court of Chhattisgarh, better use of Information
Technology in courts, progress of E-Court and E-Challan, attendance of doctors
in court via video conferencing and various other topics related to the High
Court and other courts of Chhattisgarh was held.

Minister Mohammad Akbar, Registrar General of High Court Sanjay Jaiswal,
Registry Officer of High Court, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief
Secretary Subrat Sahoo along with the officials concerned of High Court and
State Government were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, in the
courts of Chhattisgarh, information technology is being deployed to make the
judicial process convenient and transparent for the citizens. Use of IT has
made it easier for the citizens to access important information online.
