NIA offers reward of ₹50 Lakhs for 19 Naxals in Jheeram Valley Massacre; Nambala and Hidma Not Named

RaipurThe National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released second list of wanted Naxals involved in the Jheeram Valley massacre in Chhattisgarh after two years. The agency declared a reward of over ₹50 lakhs on 19 Naxals. This marks the second list by NIA following the earlier release of a list featuring 21 wanted Naxals.Following the brutal attack on May 25, 2013, in Jheeram, where several prominent Congress leaders and 32 others were martyred, the case was handed over to NIA for investigation, which has now been completed. The list by NIA includes Naxals from Chhattisgarh as well as residents of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.The new list from NIA features notorious Naxals Ramesh alias Kuppa Dada and Ganesh alias Rajesh Tiwari, with rewards of ₹7-7 lakhs, 4 with rewards of ₹5-5 lakhs, 3 with rewards of ₹2.5-2.5 lakhs, and others with rewards ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹50,000. The identities of those providing information about these Naxals will be kept confidential.For years, security agencies have been hunting for the active and infamous Naxal leader Hidma, also known as Hidmannaa, Maadvi Hidma, or Hidmalu, in Bastar. Hidma has been a prominent figure in several major Naxal attacks. The Jheeram Valley attack witnessed over 200 Naxals ambushing a Congress convoy post-rally.NIA, while announcing the rewards, is seeking cooperation from the public in this case. Those providing information about the Naxals in the reward list will receive the announced amounts. The identities of informants or those assisting in the arrest will be kept confidential.
