Chhattisgarh’s First Business Incubator Center Will Be Established in CU, Government of India’s Ministry of MSME will provide assistance of One Crore*

*Bilaspur. The Incubation Center of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University) has been recognized as a Host Institute by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. To make this incubation center a business incubator center, a grant of one crore rupees will be received. On June 27, 2023, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, was handed over the letter of establishment of the Business Incubator Center by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal expressed happiness over the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, making the University’s Incubation Center a Host Institute, and said that the University is making continuous progress in the field of research and innovation. The University’s Incubation Center is helping the youth to realize new ideas of entrepreneurship. He said that this is Chhattisgarh’s first business incubator center which will help the youth of Central University as well as IITs, NITs and other institutions to realize the idea of entrepreneurship. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chakrawal told that schemes like Swavalambi Chhattisgarh are already being run by the university to make the youth self-reliant. With the establishment of the Business Incubator Center, the youth of entire Chhattisgarh will ensure their cooperation in the development of the country’s economy through entrepreneurship. He said, “It is our endeavor that the youth become employment providers rather than job seekers”. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chakrawal also said that the country’s best business incubator center will be set up in the university with the grant amount of one crore rupees received from the ministry. The best infrastructure will be developed in this center along with modern technology using which the youth will bring laurels to the university in the field of start-ups and entrepreneurship.*Student’s Concepts will Get 15 Lakhs*With the establishment of Business Incubator Center in Guru Ghasidas University, not only the university but the youth of the entire state will get a creative platform for their entrepreneurial ideas where they will be able to convert business ideas into viable enterprises. The youth will submit their ideas to the Business Incubator Center. Thereafter, after preliminary evaluation of the proposal, it will be sent to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India where the Central Committee will examine it. If selected, the applicant’s proposal will be provided with a support amount of Rs 15 lakhs through the Business Incubator Center.*Assistance Will Be Available for Patents, Seminars and Workshops*To encourage innovation, research and entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India will provide one lakh rupees as reimbursement of the amount spent for patent filing. To encourage startups, Rs 5 lakhs will be provided as grant for organizing national level workshop and Rs 3 lakhs for organizing state level workshop.*University Incubation Center*The Nodal Officer of the University Incubation Center is Dr. Alok Kumar Singh Kushwaha.
