Health min inaugurates new sickle cell management unit at Urban Primary Health Center Nawapara
Raipur: Health Minister TS Singh Deo on Monday reached the district hospital affiliated with Rajmata Shrimati Devendra Kumari Singh Deo Government Medical College in Ambikapur. CGMSC and health department employees and officials, who have been involved in making an action plan for the upgradation of the decades-old hospital infrastructure, have played a very important role. Instead of demolishing, the building has been given a facelift by developing its complete infrastructure, along with strengthening the medical equipment and arrangements.
Health Minister TS Singh Deo reached the hospital premises, inspected the facilities and reviewed the arrangements in detail by discussing with the concerned officers and doctors.
Along with this, the health minister inaugurated OT table worth Rs 7 lakh, canteen construction (₹9.5 lakh) from departmental head and 1000 LPM oxygen generator (₹2.15 crore) received from DRDO, 430 LPM Oxygen Generator (₹82 lakh) received from ACT Grand item, 320 LPM Oxygen Generator (₹75 lakh) received from Doctor for You item, 850 LPM Oxygen Generator (₹1.75 crore) received from CGMSC item. Besides, he observed construction works worth Rs 5 crore sanctioned under Chief Minister Government Hospital Transformation Fund. He said that this hospital is an important institution for the district. Today all the people together have rejuvenated this hospital with determination and hard work. This hospital has been given a new look. On this occasion, he also thanked the employees and officers working in the hospital including all the institutions and public representatives involved in this work.

After concluding the program of Rajmata Smt. Devendra Kumari Singhdeo Medical College, Health Minister TS Singhdev reached the Urban Primary Health Center at Nawapara, where he inaugurated the first new sickle cell management unit in the district by Red Cross Society Ambikapur. On this occasion, Health Minister TS Singh Deo met with children suffering from sickle cell and their family members.
