BTech last sem student of OPJIT Engineering college hangs self

Raigarh:A final semester student of OPJIT Engineering College under Punjipathra police station area of Raigarh district committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room. The student committed suicide had been identified as 21-year-old Prakash Jaiswal, son of SitaramJaiswal and resident of Janjgir. Prakash was a last semester student of BTech Metallurgical Department.

According to information received, renowned singer Darshan Rawal had reached the college campus on Friday evening to perform in a programme arranged by the college called ‘Junoon’. However, a pal of gloom descended over the entire campus as soon as the news of suicide spread like fire. 

Punjipathra police were informed about the case around 1.30 pm on Friday. Police reached the spot and completed all the formalities. The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem. According to thana in-charge inspector Krishnakant Singh, mobile phone of Prakashwas seized and hoped that they will get the lead from the mobile pohone.
