Chhattisgarh CM Baghel criticizes BJP’s handling of Jheeram Ghati Incident, challenges Raman Singh’s claims

Raipur Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has lashed out at the BJP, alleging a pattern of creating turmoil and later pledging investigations. Baghel’s remarks center around the Naxal attack in Jheeram Ghati and the political scenario in the state. Baghel questioned the previous BJP government’s inaction regarding the Jheeram incident, highlighting the appointment of individuals directly involved as nodal officers at that time. He stressed that despite the BJP’s authority to order a CBI investigation, which was sanctioned in the assembly, the probe was not pursued. In response to Dr. Raman Singh’s claims of winning 60 seats, Baghel cited Singh’s historical performance and suggested that projecting such seat numbers appeared impractical. Baghel also advised Dr. Singh to evaluate his son’s credentials before commenting on other political heirs, alluding to a recent statement by Amit Shah regarding Sonia Gandhi’s son. The statements from Baghel reflect a critique of the BJP’s governance strategies and a call for introspection into the qualifications and claims made by their leaders.
