After the unanimous selection of the CM in the BJP legislative party meeting, Vishnudeo Sai conveyed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi, central and state leaders, vowing to uphold the people’s aspirations.Sai wasted no time in announcing the disbursement of pending bonuses, totaling ₹13.28 lakhs for 2016-17 and 2017-18, benefiting 1.328 million farmers on December 25. This move aligns with the commitment made by PM Modi, emphasizing the BJP government’s dedication to prioritizing promises and realizing the populace’s aspirations.The envisioned transformation for Chhattisgarh includes an amalgamation of good governance, development, and public prosperity. The government aims for swift progress, especially in tribal regions, charting a developmental trajectory across the state.These pending bonuses, promised at ₹300 per quintal, will be distributed on Dec 25, commemorating the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, celebrated as National Good Governance Day. Notably, the BJP’s ‘Modi’s Guarantee 2023’ manifesto pledged this disbursement among its 20 promises.Vijay Baghel, head of the BJP Manifesto Committee, engaged 200,000 individuals to shape the manifesto, revealing that a team of 35 members formulated it between August 3 and November 3, as shared during the manifesto’s media release on November 2.During the manifesto launch, Amit Shah assured citizens of Chhattisgarh that the state would attain full development in the upcoming five years. He emphasized that the manifesto was not mere words but a commitment to the people.Additionally, Shah introduced the ‘Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana,’ an initiative aiming to facilitate a pilgrimage to Ayodhya for underprivileged individuals in the state, symbolizing the return of ‘Chhattisgarh’s nephew, Lord Ram, to his home.’The ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ manifesto was unveiled on November 3 at Raipur’s Kushabhau Thakre complex, underscoring the party’s commitment to reinstating power to the state, with Shah and state leaders reaffirming their dedication to this cause.Efforts to form the new government have commenced post the CM’s election in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai, along with two deputy CMs and 10 ministers, are poised to take their oaths. Preparation for the oath-taking ceremony at Raipur’s Science College grounds on December 13 is underway, with the potential attendance of PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and various other state CMs and leaders. Sources indicate senior legislator Brijmohan Agrawal’s possible appointment as the pro-tem speaker.
