Caste-based census will be first task of Congress if retains power in Chhattisgarh, says Rahul Gandhi

Raipur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that caste census will be conducted in Chhattisgarh of the party retains power in the state. “Caste-based census will be the first priority if the Congress party retains in the state,” said the Congress MP while addressing an election rally at Surguja. Chhattisgarh deputy chief minister T S Singhdeo was also present on the occasion and he appealed the voters to make Congress win in all the seats of the Surguja region like 2018. The Congress MP also addressed election meetings in Jashpur on Wednesday.

Emphasizing on the caste census in Ambikapur, he tried to bring all the sections together by promising to conduct the caste census as the first task after forming the government. By giving examples of BJP’s attitude towards tribals, Rahul expressed that only Congress and not BJP is right for them. Along with this, he also guaranteed to fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto, for farmers in particular, if the government is formed.
