Sanskardeep, a five-year-old girl suffering from severe heart disease, underwent surgery at Apollo Hospital in Chennai at the recommendation of Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo.

Raipur. On the initiative of Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo, five-year-old Sanskardeep of Pasid village of Bilha block of Bilaspur district, suffering from severe heart disease, has been successfully operated at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. After keeping her in the CICU for three days, doctors transferred her to the general ward. Health Minister called Sanskardeep’s father, Sanskar Dau, today to inquire about her health improvement.

Sanskardeep was sent to Chennai for treatment under the National Child Health Program’s Chirayu Yojana. She was suffering from tricuspid atresia, a heart condition. On October 31, she was admitted to Apollo Hospitals’ Pediatric Cardiac Unit in Chennai for the operation, and doctors operated on her on November 5. Sanskardeep’s condition is stable, and she was transferred to the general ward today to spend three days in the post-operative CICU (cardiac intensive care unit).

Her parents are happy with the outcome of Sanskardeep’s surgery. They thanked the Chhattisgarh Government, Health Department, State Nodal Agency, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bilaspur, and the Chirayu team of Bilha Community Health Center for arranging for his daughter’s free treatment. The Bilha Community Health Center’s Chirayu team investigated Sanskardeep’s illness and referred him to the Higher Referral Center for examination and treatment. Given his serious illness, the Health Department arranged for her treatment in Chennai through the Chirayu Yojana.
