Five persons were killed in a ghastly road mishap in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh

Raipur. Five persons, including a 13-year-old girl, were killed and three others injured in a ghastly road accident in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh on Friday. A truck loaded with iron ore first hit a car that collided with people riding the bike. The accident happened in the Daundi police station area of the district, according to the police. The impact was so fierce that the car and the motorcycle got crushed.
A truck (CG-19 BG 1705) carrying iron ore was moving towards Balod from Bhanupratappur in the Kanker district. The truck driver reportedly lost control near Markatola village and hit a car and later the motorcycle.
A police team reached the accident site after receiving information and took the injured to the hospital in Daundi. On the other hand, the person riding the bike was from the Janjgir district, who used to come to discharge his duty in Balod’s post office.
All the people who died in this accident were residents of the village Dupchera of Lohara block. They were going to Narayanpur for construction work in Narayanpur.
The victims were Likhanram Dewangan, Janvi Dewangan(13), Bhupendra Vaishnav, Hemchand Deshmukh and Nakul Sahu.
