Driver accused of raping four-year-old in a school in Kawardha district, arrested.

The alleged rape of a four-year-old girl in a private school in the Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh has shaken the entire Chhattisgarh. The police have apprehended Conductor Mukesh Yadav, accused of rape. Principal Jagdish Sankhla has been made co-accused in the case and arrested. However, the role of the principal could not be ascertained, according to the police.
Lal Umed Singh, superintendent of police in Kawardha, stated that the medical report confirmed sexual abuse with the girl child. He said that the accused conductor is a resident of Chachedi village. The police have charged the accused under the POCSO Act.
The incident took place on February 7, Tuesday. Seeing the condition of the girl, the relatives asked her. She could not tell about the accused, but she narrated the incident. The family reached the police and complained about the matter. Police arrested the suspect driver and interrogated him. He confessed to having committed the crime.
There is a lot of anger among the parents after the incident came to the fore. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers also staged a protest against the incident. They submitted a memorandum to Governor Anusuiya Uikey demanding the arrest of the accused and the trial of the case in the fast-track court.
