State govt is committed to give 27pc reservation benefit to OBCs: CM

Raipur:The interests of backward classes will not be ignored and Chhattisgarh government is committed to give 27 per cent reservation benefit to them, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing a divisional level sammelan of backward classes at Lalbag ground in Jagdalpur on Sunday.  

The Chief Minister said that he himself comes from other backward classes and therefore he understands their problems very well. Concrete initiatives are being taken by the Chhattisgarh government to resolve the problems related to backward classes

Baghel said that the Chhattisgarh government is determined to give 27 percent reservation to the Other Backward Classes which they deserve for

On this occasion, he also announced to provide Rs 50 lakh each for community building of OBCs in Jagdalpur and Kanker

Baghel said that being the Chief Minister, it is his responsibility to provide equal rights to all sections. He said that the Gram Sabha has to be empowered by connecting the entire societyBaghel felt the need for awareness in the society to resolve the misconceptions about PESA law. 

The Chief Minister said that PESA Act is in force in Bastar and the process of making its rules is going on. He said that only the members of the village would become the members of this committee.
