Chhattisgarh govt implements Cash Management System to ensure quality expenditure

Raipur: In the election year, the state government has implemented a cash management system to bring quality to its expenses. The aim is to ensure the proper use of the entire budget in the financial year and to control the expenditure during the plans of the departments. It is claimed that this will prevent overspending, i.e., the Rush of Expenditure, from January to March. The governor, Vishwabhushan Harichandan, has given permission to spend the new budget.

In addition, the finance department has also created new guidelines for government departments on how to use the budget. According to these guidelines, departments will have to use 40 per cent of the amount allocated to them from April to September, with 25 per cent in the first six months and 15 per cent in the second quarter. A budget of Rs 121501 crore has been presented this year.

Similarly, 60 per cent of the budget will be spent from October to March, which is the other six months. This will include 25 per cent usage from October to December and 25 per cent usage from January to March. The budget allocation will be entered into the server in two installments for the first and second six-month periods, not for each quarter.
