Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai has stated that the credit for India’s three new laws goes to the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Sai mentioned that even after so many years of independence, India is still following the laws created by the British, and it is time for a change. He emphasized that change is inevitable with time, and the country is progressing towards better reforms under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
The Chief Minister, participating in the presentation of the provisions of the new laws at the old police headquarters in Raipur on today, stated that there will be no shortage of resources for the Chhattisgarh Police in the coming times, and they will strengthen the Chhattisgarh Police based on priorities.
Speaking on the occasion of the presentation of the provisions of the new laws, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that a better legal system is a crucial matter for the country. He mentioned that the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have made it possible for us to be free from the laws made by the British.
Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, presenting the provisions of the new laws before the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, provided detailed information about the Indian Justice Code 2023, Civil Security Code 2023, and Indian Evidence Act 2023. Juneja explained that the new laws are prepared with the intent of providing justice to the victims rather than just imposing penalties. He informed that while the old laws are penalty-oriented, the new laws are based on women’s safety and justice.
On the occasion of the presentation of the provisions of the new laws, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Pingua, Principal Secretary (Law) Rajneesh Shrivastava, ADGPs Vivekanand Sinha and Amit Kumar, Finance Secretary Ankit Anand, and other senior officials were present.
