Those travelling abroad will no longer have to go to Mumbai, Delhi or other cities for visas. Now, this facility is available in Raipur. There are now camps every Friday to check VISA-related applications. In which the team of VISA Facilitation Services (VFS) officers authorised by the embassy, after checking the documents and taking the biometric marks, is sent to the embassy of the concerned country for a visa. The operator of Vyas Travels said that just a few months back, one had to travel to the metropolitan cities of other states for this. They had to wait for months to get biometric marks and appointments. But now, this facility is available in the capital of Chhattisgarh.

There is a demand to start new flights from Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur to Jaipur, Jammu, Patna, Rajkot, Amritsar and Visakhapatnam. Travel agency operators have requested the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to start new flights because of the number of passengers. From March 27, during the summer season, airlines announce new flights. But, for the first time, no announcement has been made to run new flights.

Former president of the Travels Agency Federation of India, Bharat Dev, stated that they sent a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs asking for a visa centre. In addition, they requested a permanent office in Raipur to examine and hear visa applications.
