Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chakrawal Meets Hon’ble Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Bilaspur. On September 6, 2022, the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University), Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, met with the Vice President of the Republic of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar. Prof. Chakrawal, the Vice-Chancellor, expressed his heartfelt happiness and congratulated the Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, on assuming the Vice Presidency. He presented a bouquet to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

On the occasion of this courtesy call, Prof. Chakrawal presented the book edited by himself on the life of Lord Birsa Munda, a great freedom fighter and a symbol of tribal pride, to Jagdeep Dhankhar. Birsa Munda: Janjatiya Gaurav is a book dedicated to Lord Birsa Munda’s significant contribution to the freedom struggle.

Professor Chakrawal informed Vice President that, due to the scarcity of literature on the personality and work of Lord Birsa Munda, thirty different articles were compiled, given the overall form of a book, and published by the Central University after research on the tribal revolutionary. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is dedicated to spreading the message of courage and high ideal moral values that Birsa Munda exemplifies.

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar was informed in detail about the positive efforts being made in Guru Ghasidas University for the overall successful implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. The Vice-Chancellor gave detailed information about the progress being made in various areas of academics, research and innovation by the university. He said that a proposal has been prepared for a state-of-the-art facility for Rs. one thousand crores to promote the development of ideal sports facilities in the university, which will establish the state of Chhattisgarh, in the coming times, at the national and international level in the field of sports.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed the hope that the various infrastructure development, ongoing research, and sports activities at Guru Ghasidas University would make it move forward with vigour in the academic field. The Vice-Chancellor requested the Vice President for continuous guidance.
