Two Jawans injured in IED blast in Narayanpur, condition stable

Two ITBP jawans were injured after coming in contact with an IED in Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh. Their condition is reported to be stable, and they are receiving treatment in Narayanpur. The incident occurred in the Kohkameta police station area of the district.
According to information, ITBP jawans were out for area domination this morning when two of them stepped on a pressure IED planted by Naxalites, causing an explosion.
It is reported that jawans from the 53rd Battalion of ITBP were conducting area domination between the Naxal-affected areas of Kutul and Mohandi in the forests. Naxalites had pre-planted the IED near Kutul village.
Around 6:30 am, the jawans entered this area. During this time, jawans Dharmendra and Narad Kumar stepped on the IED planted by the Naxalites, resulting in a loud explosion. Both jawans were injured. Their fellow jawans evacuated them from the site and brought them to Narayanpur hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable.
It is reported that a search operation against the Naxalites is still ongoing in the area. Police officers stated that more information will be provided once the jawans return.
