TS Singhdeo wrote a letter to Union Railway Minister, expressing concern over the inconvenience caused by the delayed passenger trains.
Today, State Health Minister TS Singhdeo wrote a letter to Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, expressing concern about all passenger trains running late in the state and requesting that they be run on time. Recently, passenger trains in Chhattisgarh were running very late. After gathering information, it was discovered that there is a delay in passenger trains due to the preference for goods trains (coal), even though there are already limited passenger trains available for other stations. At the same time, because of the delays, people are having difficulty commuting, so passengers are travelling by means other than rail trains. I request you to prioritise passenger trains when there is a limited resource for train movement, and if goods train runs late by 3 to 4 hours then no loss will be faced. Passenger trains should be run on time by stopping goods trains.
