Parts of Chhattisgarh witnessed heavy rain and hailstorm on Saturday afternoon making the weather pleasant and cold. Maximum day temperature dropped considerably following the rain and cold wind.
The weather pattern changed in the state all of a sudden on Saturday. Durg, Rajnandgaon, Korba, Janjgir-Champa, Raipur and several other parts recorded rains.
A white a layer of snow was spread over Charama-DhamtariRoad after hailstorm, encouraging passers-by to capture the moment with their mobile cameras.
Light to moderate rains occurred in Bilaspur, Korba and Janjgir-Champa in the late evening and night of Friday. However, it was cloudy here throughout the day. Then after evening it started raining in most areas of the city. It started raining in Korba and Janjgir-Champa since late night.
The Meteorological Department had already issued a warning. It was drizzling in the city since Saturday morning.
