Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE Launch Phase-III of the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Across India


The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) are delighted to announce the launch of the third phase of the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamps. Scheduled to occur in nine selected cities from April 29, 2024, to May 03, 2024, these bootcamps are designed to ignite the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty across the nation.
Following the resounding success of the initial two phases, the upcoming Phase-III bootcamps aim to deepen and expand the innovative capacities of 225 selected participants at Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur. These participants are standout winners of hackathons, innovation challenges, and students along with mentors from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh benefiting from the PM-USPY scheme.
Bootcamp Locations for Phase-III include:
• Amity University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh
• Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun
• SREE NARAYANA GURUKULAM College of Engineering, Ernakulam, Kerala
• National Institute of Technology, Goa
• KLE Technological University, Hubli, Karnataka
• SSM College of Engineering, Baramulla, Kashmir
• Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Tamil Nadu
• Maharaja Agrasen University, Solan
• Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
The curriculum is comprehensive, covering critical aspects such as:
• Design Thinking for Entrepreneurs
• The Entrepreneurial Journey
• Understanding Markets and Customer Personas
• Ergonomics in Product/Solution Design
• Business Model Canvas and Pitch Presentation Mastery
Participants will engage in a series of dynamic sessions focused on empathizing in problem-solving, competitive analysis, and gaining insights into successful product design and development. The program will also feature inspirational talks from successful entrepreneurs and visits to local incubators, enhancing the learning experience.

Endorsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the entrepreneurial capabilities of India’s youth, aligning with the national vision of self-reliance and technological advancement.
During the announcement at today’s press conference, Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Piyush Kant Pandey shared his vision for innovation and entrepreneurship:

As we host the IDE Bootcamp here at Amity University Chhattisgarh, we are not just nurturing future entrepreneurs and innovators; we are empowering them to be pioneers of change who can tackle real-world challenges. It is our mission to support and guide these bright minds in their journey from ideation to execution, fostering an ecosystem where sustainable and impactful startups flourish. Being one of the only nine institutions selected across India is a testament to our unwavering dedication to excellence in education and entrepreneurship.”

Prof. (Dr) M.K. Verma, Vice Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai (C.G) will inaugurate the event while Dr. Girish Chandel, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya will be chief guest of valedictory function, said Dr Pandey.
Professor Roshan Mathew, Vice President IIC Amity University Chhattisgarh, added, “Hosting the IDE Bootcamp is a prestigious honor and a testament to our commitment to fostering a culture of innovation. We are poised to inspire and nurture the brightest minds to build solutions that can address some of the most pressing challenges of our time.”
The announcement was made today at a press conference attended by key figures, including Honorable Vice Chancellor, Amity University Chhattisgarh Professor Piyush Kant Pandey, Vice President of the Innovation Cell (IIC), Amity University Chhattisgarh Professor Roshan Mathew, Professor Satyendra Patnaik, Head of Amity Innovation Incubator- Raipur Dr. Ramgopal Kashyap, Dy. Director Innovations and SPoC IDE Bootcamp, and Lt. Col. Shantanu Chaudhary (Retd.), Director of Administration. Also present were Mr. B.P. Patnaik and Dr. K.N. Kishore, adding significant depth to the program’s leadership.
Each day is structured to maximize learning and interaction, with sessions on empathizing in problem-solving, competitive analysis, and insights into successful product design and development. The program also features inspirational talks from successful entrepreneurs and visits to local incubators.
