Congress announces its candidate for Bhanupratappur by-election

Raipur: Congress has announced its candidate for the upcoming Bhanupratappur-ST by-election. Congress has fielded Savita Mandavi for the by-polls.

According to official sources, Mandavi will file her nomination tomorrow. Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and other senior party leaders will be present on the occasion. Savita Mandavi is the wife of former deputy speaker and MLA Mohan Mandavi. The seat fell vacant after he died last month following a heart attack. The by-polls are scheduled to be held on December 5.
