Chhattisgarh Chief Minister to Disburse Rs 34 Crore in Unemployment Allowance to Over 1 Lakh Youths

In an event scheduled at the Chief Minister’s residence office on August 30, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will facilitate the transfer of an aggregate sum of Rs 34 crore, 55 lakh, and 65 thousand as unemployment allowances to 1,29,886 young beneficiaries. Furthermore, in the same program, he will also extend appointment letters to 84 selected officers who are to be appointed as Training Officers within the realm of Industrial Training Institutes (I.T.I.).
The unemployment allowance initiative has previously allocated Rs 112 crore, 43 lakh, and 30 thousand into the accounts of eligible youths. With the forthcoming disbursement of Rs 34 crore, 55 lakh, and 65 thousand for August, the cumulative amount will surge to Rs 146 crore, 98 lakh, and 95 thousand.
The initiative goes beyond providing financial relief for the unemployed; it also focuses on upskilling opportunities for the youth. The program identifies individuals interested in acquiring new skills and enrols them in various training institutions. The training curriculum has already commenced for 7,200 individuals, and an additional 1,782 youth are slated to commence their training shortly.
